Digital book burning.
http://pogue.blogs.nytimes.com/2009/07/17/some-e-books-are-more-equal-than-others/Amazon books just put themselves my satan monkey boycott list.
The only words I have for this is....wow. Amazon books have come out of the tree line and shedded their camoflague to reveal their true nazi nature. They have also tipped their hand to the Nth degree. Not only that they sent a very obvious and clear declaration by how and what they did.
This also becomes a litmus test to measure who in the general public is awake of thos who claim to be awake and know whats going on around them. Because nothing can be more obvious than this story as to being a line in the sand being drawn. So let's go down the list, some of which was pointed out by the web site I read this on, others are obvious conclusions no one needs pointed out to them, if indeed they are awake and can see what's going on.
1.) You buy a product, it is now your property. The store you buy it from kicks down your door and takes it back. That is essentially what happened.
2.) The device (kindle - as in kindle for book burning) has technology built into it that allows amazon or whomever else to freely delete books you bought and paid for, (once again now your property). So they can do it anytime they want to, and on top of that they can delete all your other books also. The site I read this from also pointed out that it makes you wonder what other technologies are out there that can do this same type of thing. Well on-star car navigation system is one of them if you want an example. I will let you excercise your mind and come up with more....and there are alot more.
3.) Amazon books has purposefully and in your face shown everyone that they belong to satan monkeys and added icing to the cake by doing it to the author who originally wrote about this exact type of thing. So to say that what they did was done with extreme prejudice would be an understatement because to say that it was all coincedence would be a bold faced lie, when you know how these satan monkeys work.
4.) On top of all that they (amazon) just preformed a digital version of a book burning, which also adds another layer to the orwell slap in your face side of it, yet another layer.
5.) If you scroll down to the comments you will see a person who had the kindle app on his phone had his copy of the book deleted when he tried to access it on his phone. Which means not only can amazon hijack your kindle, they can access your phone as well.
6.) Amazon's excuse and blame shifting was directed at the publisher, but we all know if a person or persons would do this type of thing they already passed "the lie your ass of all the time" line, long ago.
I am incredibly suprised no one is talking about any lawsuits against both amazon and the publisher who forced amazon to do this, if indeed amazon's excuse about how it went down is true.
I hope story goes viral and amazon goes belly up over it.
The sad thing is I wanted to get the kindle but held off due to both oney restraints and previous owners commenting on the way the controls were set up on it, and was waiting for the next version revamp. Thankfully I waited and never got one.
Now I will never get one......ever. Nor will I get anything else from amazon....ever again.
