As far as I'm concerned.
The united states can no longer call itself a civilized society, based off of one of the reasons that make up a civilized society, according to modern day boasts.
How many times have you heard politicians, as well as others, such as writers, in the past say "civilized societies don't torture people for any reason"? Not only do I hear them say it but growing up all kinds on normal people who have crossed my path in life have said it as well. Evidence of the democratic iranian overthrow, by our government being an earlier example of that lie, but no one paid attention to that, otherwise this whole iran thing would be over and done with as far as america is concerned leaving isreal on their own.
Because connections are there to be made if you look. America has tortured then and they torture now.
So according to one of the main definitions of a civilized society standard, i.e. civilized societies do not torture.
By logical extension america is not a civilized society.
Simple truth according to everyone's definition of the meaning.
An obvious lie they are trying to perpetrate.
