How I suspect it really works.
Another thought that has gone through my head for a long time is in regards to when a celebrity or famous person in america gets caught doing something that is judged taboo.
In earlier days getting caught sleeping with another man's wife was considered very bad, or rather that was the surface reality voiced by the masses. These days if it happens hardly anyone bats an eye, although history stretching back thousands of years is littered with this one occurance.
Nowadays celebrities or famous people still get caught for that, or drugs, so on and so forth. They lose their endorsement(s) from corporations, which is basicly the pot calling the kettle black since corporations have also been caught doing the same things. They disappear from the spotlight, with some coming back into it a few months/years later.
So if these people are getting black listed for doing the same things that same people in their industries are doing also, the question is why? Cause last time I checked, birds of a feather yadda yadda. So why then are they being punished.
Some people would argue it is to help keep their illusion going. I can agree with that to a point, if it wasn't for the fact that some of these offenses would be thrown out of a court of law. Such as sleeping with another man's wife, or telling a lie to the media. Quite a few of these so called offenses is daily comon happenstance this day and age. So why are their peers punishing them?
The answer that keeps bouncing through my head is simple, when applied to couple other branches of humanity.
They are not being punished for what they did, they are being punished because they let themselves be caught and exposed while doing it. Just like all other forms of organized crime, there is a penalty for being careless.
I could be wrong but this is the direction my mind keeps getting steered towards in regards to this question. Also this is proably not the only reason but it sits right with me as to one of the reasons.
