Earthquakes and lies

At 11:43 - 11:44 a.m. this morning, approximately 25 minutes ago a mild earthquake happened.

In the location I was at if was a gentle rolling one

A relative that was out and about calls me immediately letting me know they heard the radio report it was a 5.1 richter scale

When I got back to my computer I saw this flashed across my screen in a big red banner.

BREAKING NEWS: USGS reports 5.6 quake in Los Angeles. Developing.

I laughed to myself because between the time my mom called and the time I got back to the computer they upgraded from 5.1 to 5.6.

THEN I took a sip of my coffee and when I looked back up at the screen the banner now said this.

BREAKING NEWS: USGS reports 5.8 quake in Los Angeles. Developing.

Now let me see if I can get you all to follow this train of thought.

They can map an entire planet with satilite and they can do all these amazing scientific feats YET they still can't accurately read the magnitude of an earthquake after it has occured.

Well if you believe that OR even what they say at all....well then mr. sucker, I still have some golden doorknobs available at half price, but they are going fast, so order now.
